WELCOME!
Hey I'm Kate! A fellow Mum to my little boy Finn, partner to Callum and a romantic at heart. I love love. With my love language being quality time, the most important thing in life for me is living in the moment with people I care about. I'm inspired by human connection, candid photography, golden sun, shadows, wild flowers, colour, life's messiness and the mundane.
I believe every milestone is worth documenting and becoming a Mum has only intensified this. I know the overwhelming urge of wanting to push pause on time and hold onto this moment exactly as it is. I also understand what it's like taking a million photos on your phone of everyone around you and never having good pictures of yourself. Photography gives me the vessel to capture the present and tell stories - my own and yours.
Why book with me?
I spent the better part of my Uni days hanging out in the darkroom exploring the art and magic of film, so my expertise and passion for film makes my photography unique. I graduated with a Diploma of Photography with Distinction in 2015 and have been running my personal photography business for over 7 years. I photograph people authentically and don't shy away from life's messiness. I'm walking the new territory of motherhood with you and you're investing in someone who is passionate and understands how fleeting each season is.
The Experience:
Your experience with me will be nothing short of fun and effortless. A self-proclaimed extrovert, I love meeting new people and understanding what makes them tick but most importantly - putting them at ease. Getting in front of the camera isn't something you do every day so my job is to ensure it feels natural and calm, and isn't something to stress over. I wont ask you to stare and smile, most of my photos you wont be looking anyway. You may have butterflies reaching out to book or at the thought of getting semi-naked to show your pregnant belly (I've been there!) but trust me when I say that reaching out is the hardest part and once we meet your fears will disappear.
